Sara Lien lent me East of Eden and I finished it last weekend. This is a wonderful book. It is haunting and tragic, uplifting and beautiful. It made me cringe at times, but I could not put it down. If you need a good book and haven't picked this one up yet, it is definately worth reading. If anyone in the blogosphere as a book recommendation, let me know! -RL

I recently finished Joan Didion's The Magical Year of Thinking and appreciated it quite a lot. I don't know if I can recommend it, though, as it got me thinking about death quite a lot and generally put me in a funk for a few days. I'm almost through with Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert and, though I realize I'm not reading one of the world's greatest novels, am thoroughly enjoying it. Hope you all are well! Sending love!
