Ethan "loves Dad better" this week. His reasoning: "Cuz we're buddies, Mom. You can't be a buddy cuz you're a girl." Some might be offended or hurt to hear their 4 year old say such things. For me, I just think it's really wonderful for a boy to love his dad so much. He still yells out "Mom!" in the middle of the night when he's scared or sick. We call that "the guy," as in Dad's the guy. That totally rocks, and it's kind of cool to watch them bond like that.

Hope you are all doing well. R, I can totally relate to the buddy thing. David and the girls are especially close and have so much fun playing together. But when the tears rise they usually run for me. For many reasons I think that our families are so blessed to live in a time when Daddies take an active role in parenting.
